Honour and respect

Posted on

I’m going to be optimistic and say it’s party sunny here now, and certainly warmer than it has been the last few days, though not hot by any means. It’s not a bad day at all, and I’m getting myself outside for a walk to enjoy it after a while.

I had something on my mind to post, then I read the following (linked to below), and I don’t have a thing to say that can say it any better. The money quote for me is this: ”Let us honour and respect our bodies for what they do instead of despising them for how they appear. Focus on living healthy and active lives, let our weight fall where it may, and consign our body hatred in the past where it belongs.”

The article is well worth reading. I hope you’ll take the time to do it. http://www.stuff.co.nz/life-style/wellbeing/8760102/When-your-mother-says-shes-fat
