Two weeks and change without sweets–woo hoo! I’m aiming for a full month, then I’m going to see how I do with some ice cream or frozen yogurt, because I don’t want to live in a world where there’s no ice cream. Of all the treats I could have, it’s the one I miss the most, followed by chocolate chip cookies.
Yesterday was just about perfect in terms of weather–sunny with a nice breeze and temps right around 80–and I got out for a walk. I’ve been getting plenty of exercise at the library shifting books, but I have so missed my walks and dang if it didn’t feel great to walk. Being able to move and to enjoy the beauty and warmth of the day were a tonic. I felt strong and unfettered for a while. I was nearly perfectly happy for a while and that felt good, too.
It was a good week, and there are yet better days ahead.
